Church in livestream: founding foundation Familie Mariens streams with MiNE products

Mine Media Kirche Livestream

Heartwarming choral singing, lyrical prayers and inspiring lectures: All this no longer sounds only in churches, but already at home from the loudspeaker. The founding foundation Familie Mariens is far ahead in terms of modernization in relation to church events. In this blog article, we explain exactly how this works and which MiNE products Father Heinzelmann uses.

Modern video transmissions from churches and chapels

The founding foundation now has countless successful live broadcasts behind it. Even before they started using MiNE Media’s M4 Internet Bonding Router and Q8 Live Video Bonding Encoder, they were working with an event company for their live streams. Initially, the foundation used a live mixer from Tricaster. The recordings were subsequently transmitted via satellite. Since the live mixer is quite a bit larger than a conventional bonding encoder, it’s not really suitable for a mobile livestream control room. Climate-friendly transport by bicycle is also not really possible. The Tricaster is better off in a permanent studio.

Another reason why the foundation’s managers got an M4 in addition to the Q8 was that they often want to broadcast up to nine different languages in one livestream. Often starting from a place with poor Internet reception. With the MiNE Encoder as well as the Internet Bonding Router this is possible without any further problems.

The wide range of applications for MiNE devices

Who knew there were so many ways to stream from a church? To name a few of them:

  • Church services
  • Days of Prayer
  • Priestly ordinations
  • Sisters investiture
  • Mass with the bishop
  • and many more…

It wasn’t just during the pandemic that a livestream of church activities was peace of mind. It is also a huge relief for believers. For example, they can pray to the Chapel of the Lady of All Nations in Amsterdam via cell phone or PC.

The Internet Bonding Router M4: Perfectly suited for mobile livestream direction and hybrid events

The MiNE Bonding Router was used for the first time for the founding foundation Familie Mariens at the prayer in Heroldsbach near Bamberg. At the beginning of their streaming career, they had broadcast the annual Days of Prayer as a hybrid event via satellite.

The M4 also worked flawlessly in Italy. Even in sparsely populated areas with very poor Internet, it was able to bond a stable connection. And this although one has to go in front of the house to make a phone call and even there there is hardly any guarantee of sufficient reception, as Father Heinzelmann told us.

The M4 Router was also successfully used in the Czech Republic. There he connected into both the Czech network and the network of neighboring Austria. However, this was absolutely no problem with the M4 and the right SIM cards.

The Q8 also proves to be an effective live bonding encoder. The MiNE device proves its worth especially for the different speech output, i.e. the various audio tracks. In May 2022, the Family of Mary Foundation is planning a livestream with eleven different languages, all using only MiNE Media products.
